Rose Utterback Gritton, 77, died Saturday, October 25, 1997 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. A native of Anderson County, she was born December 11, 1919, to the late Irvin and Ada Smithey Utterback. She was the widow of J. B. Gritton. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Hockensmith, Harrosburg; two brothers, John Utterback, FL and Bill Utterback, PA; two sisters, Louise Majyars, Lexington and Agnes Davenport, Charleroi, PA; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 28, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joseph Vest officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
