Born in Nanticoke on August 5, 1955, he was a son of the late Aloysius and Eleanor (Burd) Danko. He graduated from Nanticoke High School and attended Luzerne County Community College. Dennis was employed for several years at Asplundh until he was no longer able due to an injury at work.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and at one time belonged to a motorcycle club. He loved antique cars and owned 2 of his own. Dennis liked being at home, especially with his loyal dog, "Puppers" by his side, and working around outside, tinkering on different projects. He enjoyed farming with his father for many years, and he loved the animals they raised including horses and goats, and his many cats. He also liked hunting.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 23 years, Catherine M. (Curry) Danko; daughter, Lindsey Danko, AZ; son, Dennis Danko Jr, Nuangola; 2 grandsons and a granddaughter; sister, Genevieve "Jen" Voss, Allentown; brothers, Leonard Danko and wife Marie, Wapwallopen; Edward Danko, Berwick; sister-in-law, Diane Danko, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Danko, Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Pond Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Wapwallopen.
