He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 57 years, Ida Jean, three sisters: Elsie Lukenchuk, Ethel Hord and Marilyn Bartoshyk (Percy) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by his beloved father Sam, mother Mary, sister Ivy and brother David.
Orest started his teaching career in Beauvallon and Derwent, then moved to Edmonton to finish his 36 years of teaching with the Edmonton Public School Board.
Orest was a special friend to everyone he met throughout his life and he was known for his fastball coaching skills for the senior men and women.
