Lottie (Lankford) Sherry, age 88, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005 in Humble, Texas after a short illness. She was born September 13, 1916 in Thorndale, Texas. She met and married Glenn Sherry and they lived in Clute, Texas until he retired from Dow Chemical and then moved to Austin. Her life revolved around her yard where she spent her days gardening. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Glenn Sherry in 1991; four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Frances Baldwin of Phoenix, Arizona; son, Jimmy Ritchey and wife, Margaret of Pasadena, Texas; stepdaughter, Martha Rose and husband, Bruce of Beaumont, Texas; sisters, Ruth Massey and Louise Long; brother, L.L. Lankford and wife, Margaret, all of Austin. She is also survived by five grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and her poodle, "Penney". The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2005, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
