LANKFORD, Mrs. Villa Laura of Austin. Age 94. Died 2/25/1983 (Friday) in the home of a daughter in Austin. Services held (Monday) in Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home of Austin. Burial in the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery. Revs. G.S. McGill and Howard Preece officiated.

She was BORN 12/17/1888, the daughter of the late Will and Ella Brown. Married Homer Hamilton Lankford in 1905. Preceded in death by her husband, 3 sons, Vester, Aubrey (Bill) and E.E. Lankford.

SURVIVORS: 6 daughters, Louise Long, Lottie Sherry, Ruth Massey, Alberta Shields, Mable Copeland, and Alma Doherty, all of Austin; 2 sons, Harvey Lankford of Humbel and L.L. Lankford of Austin; sister, Mable Criddle of Austin; brother, Bill Brown of Waco; 29 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mrs. Iris Catchings of Thorndale; cousin, Mrs. Charlyce Kincaid of Thorndale.
