Weirton. Jane Kessel, 86, 156 Lynwood Manor, Weirton, died Sunday morning at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 16, 1897, in New Manchester, daughter of the late Frank A. and Nora Allison Wern. She was a member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald W. Kessel in 1968 and daughter Betty Kessel Richards in 1963.
Survivors include three grandsons, Harry K. 'Pete' Richards of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Michael J. Richards of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Stephen D. Richards of Novi, Michigan; three brothers Gomer Wern of Owins Mills, William Wern of New Cumberland, seven great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Fields Funeral Home, New Cumberland, Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Wilds officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery, New Manchester.
