John F. Breidenbach, 78, 1502 Summit St., died Friday evening at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Breidenbach was born July 1, 1891, at Geddes, S. D., and moved to Sioux City in 1936. He married Elizabeth Haley June 1, 1921, at Platte, S. D. She died Dec. 28, 1966, in Sioux City. Mr. Breidenbach was a member of Cathedral of the Epiphany and Epiphany Council 743, Knights of Columbus. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Rosemary) Davis of Sioux City; a son, John L. of Melrose Park, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. William Gau, Mrs. William Biggins and Mrs. Josephine Biggins, all of Geddes, and Mrs. Chris Gau of Defiance, Iowa; and nine grandchildren. The body was taken to the Larkin Funeral Home.
