Floy Lee Anglin Nelms, 84, died on May 20, 1991, at Hillside Villa in Salt Lake City, Utah, of heart failure.

She was born on December 15, 1906, in Comanche County, Texas, the daughter of Fannie Teague and Walter S. Anglin. She attended schools in Texas and was a member of the first complete graduating class of Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She taught Home Economics in Texas schools.

She married Charles V. Nelms in 1934, and later divorced. She was a dietician in the Lubbock School Lunch Program for 20 years until her retirement in 1972.

She loved beautiful things, and always surrounded herself with them. She collected and dressed antique dolls, sewed, crocheted, quilted, and was a master gardener. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was especially active in the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Kenneth J. (Beth) Brown, Salt Lake City, and Nancy Nelms, Golden, Colorado; three granddaughters, Becky, Abbi, and Jamie Brown; sisters, Hazel Cowdrey, Argonia, Kansas, Dee Rouse, Grand Junction, Colorado, and Lenore Boyd, Bryan, Texas; brothers, Steve Anglin, Lubbock, Texas, and Roy Anglin, Hixon, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews; and a large circle of friends.

Funeral services at the First United Methodist Church, 203 South 200 East. Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 400 South. Burial in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Friendship Manor for their kindness and friendship during her last 2 1/2 years and the staff at Hillside Villa for their caring and compassion during the last illness.
