Bernadine Louise Baumlein Miller, 91, transitioned to her new life on June 3, 2021, at home with family by her side.
Bernadine was born on April 19, 1930, to Reinhold (Charles) P. and Ethel L. (Goodman) Baumlein. On November 7th, 1948, she married William H. Miller. They celebrated 57 years of marriage and had five children: Marilyn (Stephen) Warnimont of Findlay, Connie (Lenard) Spain of Colorado Springs, Bill (Linda) of Tiffin, Steven of Falcon, CO and Scott of Findlay.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, daughter Marilyn, brothers Warren, John, Albert, Richard and Robert and sister Marguerite. Her sister, Pauline, survives her. She leaves behind as her legacy 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She had a vast circle of family and friends and she maintained contact with them throughout her life through travel, phone calls, cards and letters. She made sure she recognized every birthday, graduation, anniversary and holiday for her family through those.
Her favorite pastime was anything with a playing card involved. Her acumen for Pinochle, Euchre, and Penny Ante poker was widely known and she was a master at counting cards and used that skill to win countless card games. It took some effort to win against her. She loved playing Backgammon Acey Deucy and cribbage with her grandchildren.
She became interested in the ancestry of her family and spent countless hours tracing information for genealogical records. Her volumes of information will be passed down to future generations.
