He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Beulah Carrico; and one sister, Judy.
He was a retired construction worker with W & H Construction. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Mae Carrico; two sons, Robert Carrico and John Spinks; two daughters, Cheryl Carrico Spriggs and Beverly Spinks Tawney; grandchildren, Ricky and Ashley Tawney, Britney and Megan Spinks, Shawn and Cory Myers and Brady and Jacob Carrico; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 21 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Harley Egnor officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
