Alice Bobette Gump, 66, of Wadestown ,Crossroads community,, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in Monongalia General Hospital. She was born May 8, 1933, at Crossroads, daughter of the late Mary Ethel King. A retired beautician, she operated her own beauty shop at Crossroads for many years. She was a homemaker and loving mother, and a member of Union Baptist Church, Crossroads. She is survived by a son and spouse, Terry and Brenda Gump, of Callaway, Va.; two daughters and a spouse, Karen Nicholson and Melissa and Bernard Raber, all of Wadestown; two brothers, Kenneth Ralph King, of Fairview, Crossroads, and Richard Donald King of Fairview ,Miracle Run community,; an aunt, Daisy King, of Wadestown; eight grandchildren, Jason Nicholson, Jeremy Nicholson, Justin Nicholson, Heather Self, Crysann Raber, Joey Raber, Kris Morris and Samantha Mitchell; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gump, in 1994. Friends may call at Tennant Funeral Home, Hundred, from 4-9 PM Thursday, with service at 11 AM Friday, Jan. 28, with pastors Steve Edwards and Don Phares officiating. Burial will be in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
