Ben Allen Austin, 92, retired French Camp cafe owner, died Wednesday, May 17, 1989, at Kilmichael Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Lee Austin of French Camp, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Grimmett of Waldo, Ark. and Mrs. Dixie Ward of French Camp, a sister, Mrs. Pearl Cutts of Ackerman, two brothers, Bill Austin of Grenada and Woodrow Austin of Kilmichael, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted from Lee Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19. Dan Beardain preached. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tommy Ward, Ben Grimmett, Mike Grimmett, Harold Love, Jack Ward and Andy Austin. Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
