Mrs. Laura Evans Of Dalton Dies
Mrs. Laura Evans, 107 Weatherby St., Dalton, formerly of 1124 Prince St., this city, died this morning at the West Side Convalescent Home.
Born in Easton, daughter of George W. and Jeanette Kyttle Stubblebine, she had resided in Scranton most of her life. Her husband, Fred, died in 1965.
She was a member of Embury Methodist Church, Scranton and an honorary member and past president of the Ladies Auxillary, Craftsmen Club.
Survivors are one son, Robert, Dalton; one daughter, Mrs. Harry R. Swan, Westfield, N.J.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. from Davies & Jones Funeral Home, 135 South Main Ave., with the Rev. ray DuVal, Embury Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, Shady Lane Cemetery.
Viewing Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
