Poet. He studied Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and received a doctorate from the University of Cologne, Federal Germany. He was a professor at El Colegio de México and the UNAM. He was founder of "El Día" and collaborator of "El Día," "El Nacional," "Mañana," "Medio Siglo," "Novedades," "Ovaciones," "Revista Universidad de México," and "Unomásuno." He was recognized with the Xavier Villaurrutia Prize in 1984 for "El pequeño bestiario ilustrado."
