On page 1, it states "Some years ago, Mrs. Frank Parker gave me the early records of the McCoy Cemetery. I am writing this sketch for my own private use and for anyone who may have occasion to use it." The original (presumably hand-written) records have not been located.
On pages 4-7, the document lists 103 names and states "A record was kept until 1838 of the persons who died, and were presumably buried in the McCoy." The Trustees have matched 58 of the names to existing gravestones, but 45 of the names have no stone visible or never had a stone. A 1990 survey indicated 140 unmarked graves in McCoy. Death certificates and burial locations/permits are not available prior to 1885 at Gilford Town Hall.
