Iva Mae Alger was born Feb 10, 1912 in Clay county. On June 1, 1938 she married Lynn Grover at Onawa. She was a retired school teacher. She lived in Marcus for 22 years and formerly in Gillett Grove, Iowa.
Survivors include sons, Lyle and Keith Grover, both of Spencer; a daughter, Mrs Merlin (Kay) Hansen, Pierson; 8 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and brothers, Ted Alger, Dickens and Gene Alger, Ruthven.
She was preceded in death by her husband and 5 brothers.
