TAYLORS - Col. Oscar Rolland Mills Jr., 73, of 1 Runion Drive, died Jan. 31, 1990, at a local hospital.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1960 with 26 years of combined military service.
He moved to Greenville in 1960 and was vice president of General Paint Co. until his retirement. He was formerly an engineer with Daniel Construction Co.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Click Mills of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Nick (Nancy M.) Whalen of Charlotte, Mary M. Iber of Taylors and Mrs. Sam (Susan M.) Wasson of Scott Depot, W. Va.; two sons, Oscar Rolland "Butch" Mills III of Chantilly, Va., and John Mills of Taylors; and two sisters, Sarah E. Brand of Atlanta, and Mrs. Dewey (Louise M.) Taylor of Statesville, N.C.
Graveside services: 3 p.m. Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery, Statesville, with military rites.
The family is at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605, Meals on Wheels, 2310 Augusta St., Greenville, S.C. 29605, or to the Masonic Orphanage, Oxford, N.C. - Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.
