Richard E. Piggott

Richard Everett Piggott, 74, of Parkersburg went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 19, 2004, at the Willows Center. He will be greatly missed, especially his smiling face.

He was born in Wood County, a son of the late Everett E. and Janie M. (Cale) Piggott. He is a member of the 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church. He retired after 27 years due to plant closure of the Ideal Corrugated Box Corporation of WV in 1989.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Bickford and husband, Derl, of Beverly, Ohio, and Connie Adkins and husband, John, of Williamstown; three sisters, Martha McNickle of Belpre, Patricia Krepps of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Hazel Barton of Parkersburg; three brothers, William, James and David Piggott, all of Parkersburg; one great-uncle, Burley Cale of Parkersburg; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Reed and Dolly Boso; one brother, Arthur Piggott; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and he remained friends with his late ex-wife, Audrey Piggott.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Tim Burch officiating. Burial in Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
