Excerpted from his obituary in the 12 Mar 1948 Metamora Herald: He had been the chief of police of Benson, IL. Born 3 Aug 1876 in Peoria, he spent his early life in Nebraska. He returned to Linn Twp, and married Folke Uphoff on 22 Feb 1899. Survived by his wife, children Virgil, Victor, Pearl Ketchmark and Alberta Feken, both of Minonk. Also survived by brother Don Trantina and sister Anna Cordes, both of Peoria.
