Jesse "Jess" S. Grove, Sr., 77, of Stewartstown passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2021.
Born in York, he was the son of the late Jesse Baldwin Grove and Luticia Minnick and brother of the late Johnny and Edward Grove.
Jess was the husband of Vicki L. (Turner) Grove of Stewartstown, celebrating 53 years together in June. He was also survived by his three children Charles Miller, Jr., Jesse "Steven" S. Grove, Jr., and Loretta "Lori" Wells; four grandchildren and a sister Joan Routson.
Jess worked for the former Borg Warner and York International from 1969-2004 retiring after 37 years of service. He also worked at Southern York Turf & Tractor, Inc. for 10 years until 2014. Jess had a love for cars, trucks and his wheel horses. He enjoyed his morning coffee at the Taylor Haus, ice cream sandwiches & creamsicles from Rutter's and caring for his beloved cat, "Tabby."
A Graveside Service will begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Stewartstown Cemetery. If attending, please wear a mask and social distance as necessary.
