Alice R. Perry, 85, died Sunday morning at her home. She was born July 26, 1907, in Wallingford, the daughter of Fred and Susan (Moore) Hart. She attended schools in Danby and Pawlet. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Church. Her family was her main interest, and she loved to crochet and make rugs. She was the widow of Edgar Corey of Wells and Joseph Perry of Athens. Survivors include: two sons, Harry Corey of Poultney and Edgar Corey of Wells; eight daughters, Helen Noble and Mae Ely, both of Athens, Mabel Davis and Linda Dorman, both of Bennington, Wilma Martendale of Raceville, N.Y., Lena Shattock of Bondville, Marie Eiserman of Clearwater, Fla., and Gloria Alden of Glens Falls, N.Y.; 50 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren: and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marguerite Corey; four brothers, Fred Hart, Dana Hart, Dow Hart, and her twin, Allie Hart; and five sisters, Susan Clark, Alta Wade, Mary Green, Edna Wilder and Ezzie Hart. A memorial funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Kingdom Hall, Route 5, Rockingham. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the family's convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Cottage Hospital, Townshend 05353. Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls is in charge of arrangements.
