Mrs. DANIEL WADE
Mrs. Alta M. Wade, 66, of South Dorset, widow of Daniel Wade, died Wednesday night at the DeGoesbriand unit Medical Center of Vermont. She had been a resident of South Dorset for 40 years.
Born Sept 20, 1904**, in Wallingford, she was the daughter of Fred L. and Susan (Moore) Hart. Her education had been received in schools in Danby and Pawlet. She was married to Mr. Wade in 1922 in Pawlet. He died in 1960.
Survivors include one son, Paul D. Wade of East Arlington, five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Fenno, Mrs. Mildred Woodcock and Mrs. Linda Charboneau, all of South Dorset; Mrs. Hazel Hastings of Coos Bay, Ore. and Mrs. Janice McClure of Harrisville, N.H.; three brothers, Fred L. Hart and Allie R. Hart, both of Manchester and Dana G. Hart of Dorset; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Wilder and Mrs. Alice Carey, both of Rutland, and Mrs. Susie Clark of West Pawlet; 20 grandchildren,, seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center are tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Should friends desire contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 pm in the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert with the Rev. Hal C. Miller, pastor, officiating.
