SUMMERVILLE -- The Rev. Merrill A. Williamson, 61, of Summerville died at 9 a.m. Saturday in his residence.

Williamson was pastor of Midway Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Violet Williamson of Summerville; a son, Don Williamson of Dallas, Ore.; a brother, Leroy Williamson of Hammond; six sisters, Mertis Flynn, Laverne Manuel, Alta Flynn, Suella James and Katherine Harmon, all of Loranger, and Hazel Savage of Singletown, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Jena. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Oak Grove Church of God, Loranger, with the Revs. Tommy Melot and C. C. Carver officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from noon until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
