Mrs. Mattie Louise Baucum Yates, 52, High Springs, died today at Alachua General Hospital.

She was a housewife, and a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband Lester Yates; a son, William Yates of High Springs; two brothers, Jimmie A. Baucum of Vero Beach and Dewey Baucum of Azua, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Lustig of Tallahassee, Mrs. Sue Padgett of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Estelle Wilson of Gainesville.
