Ruth was known to bring many kids to church on Sundays in her own vehicle, just so that they had the opportunity to attend. Other ministries important to Ruth were Campers On Mission to which she attended as recently as last year, as well as Women On Mission (W.O.M.) a church-based group that read and prayed for missionaries. Ruth volunteered many years locally for the Hope Center in Bowling Green and sang at local nursing homes until the Covid-19 pandemic restricted access to doing so. In her free time, Ruth liked gardening and tending to her roses. She enjoyed quilting and doing embroidery. Above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and trying to keep up with them.
