Robert was the 9th of 10 children born to Frank Edwin and Lillie Mae (Lent) Burkepile. He was married twice. The first, to Shirley Bonnell, added four children: Judy Kaye, Robert Jr., Roger Wayne, and Karen. He next married Bonnie Mae Hart (survives) and they had a daughter, Pamela.

Robert Burkepile, 90, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at UH Samaritan Regional Medical Center of Ashland. Robert was born on March 22, 1930 in Butler, Ohio. He was the son of Frank and Lillie (Lent) Burkepile. Robert was a truck driver with CCC Trucking. Family was very important to Robert and he loved and cherished the time he spent with them. He loved to square dance, travel and camp.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Hart) Burkepile; his son, Roger Burkepile; his daughter, Pamela (Clayton) Sampsel; his granddaughters, Donna, Kitrina, Erika and Markeye; his grandsons, Ken and Franklyn; his great-grandchildren, Aubrae, Marrisa, Elliott, Steve, Bryon, Trevor, Garrett, Ethen, and Remington; and his great great-grandchildren, Adaleah and Isabella. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Judy Burkepile and Karen Payton; his son, Robert Burkepile Jr.; his grandsons, Gary Schoenman, Walt Shoenman, and Donald Conley Jr.; his son-in-law, Donald Conley Sr.; his sisters, Lillie Burkepile, Dorothy Chase, Vera Baber, Elnora Miller and Leora Burns; and his brothers, Frank Jr., Leonard, John and Harold Burkepile.
Graveside services will be held at Zion Cemetery aka Four Corners Cemetery in Butler, Ohio.
