Sue Thomas, 93, of Whitney, Texas passed away April 19, 2021 in Hillsboro, Texas. She was born July 23, 1927 in Whitney, Texas to her parents, Lonnie Lee Dobbs and Fannie Elizabeth (Stewart) Dobbs. Her mother passed away when Sue was very young.
Sue was so ready to be with her husband Rayburn Thomas who preceded her in death in 2008. Sue and Rayburn were side by side farmers and ranchers. They got married on August 14, 1944. The two of them worked together to start a cattle business. They became one of the first to start setting out coastal hay. As people got their coastal growing, Rayburn and Sue started a business bailing hay for other people. They both worked together until their health forced them to retire.
Survived by her sister, Dorothy Juanita Brown and many other family. Preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn, her parents, sisters, Abby Lee Shafer and Helen Oleta Shipp and one brother, William Frances "Bud" Dobbs.
