Tom McClurkin, Sam McClurkin, Leslie McCord, Verle Dority, Clyde Headley and Herbert Schnase served as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers were L. F. Haug, Cliff Keller, Charles Byers, Phil Moser, Frank Hughes and Jay Mays. Interment was in the Cameron Cemetery.
Eugene Freeman Frazell was born October 8, 1887 to George B. and Anna Snell Frazell on a farm 8 miles northeast of Shelton in Hall County, Nebraska. He spent his entire life living and working on farms in a quarter mile radius. His schooling was received in the Northfield school district # 32. A Christian Faith was embraced early in his boyhood. He joined and attended the Northfield United Brethren Church. On June 22, 1910 he married Inez Dubbs and to this union was born one son and five daughters. His love and simple interest were in his home and family. He was a kind husband and loving father, held in high esteem by all who knew him. In October 1957 in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney after a short illness he departed this life at the age of 69 years 11 months and 23 days. Pneumonia complicated by a diabetic condition claimed his life. Surviving him are one son, Delbert of Shelton, daughters Lois Ramsay of Shelton, Avis Sitorius of North Platte, Rosalie Lippincott of Central City, and Marjorie Pinkerton of Tryon, Nebraska. Three sisters, Jessie Burkerd of Los Angeles, California, Erma Faser of Odessa, Nebraska and Lura Soderstrom of Long Beach, California and eleven grandchildren. Preceding him in death were an infant daughter, one brother and one sister. A man of wholesome influence and integrity, he will be missed by a host of friends and relatives.
"Genie" was the third of the six children of George Patterson Bowen Frazell and Anna Submit Snell Frazell. He was united in marriage to a pretty neighbor girl, "Inez" Dubbs at the Clyde and Jessie Burkerd home in Shelton, on June 10, 1910. They traveled to Denver by train for their honeymoon. To this union were born the following children -
