She had been a resident of DuBois for 38 years, coming here at the turn of the century, from Punxsutawney, where she had resided in the early half of her life. She was born on January 17, 1863 and was in her seventy-fourth year at the time of her death.
The deceased was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of DuBois, and is survived by one son, Floyd Shields, of Youngstown, O. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held in the Moore Chapel in DuBois on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and burial will be made in the Mahoning Union Cemetery at Marchand. Friends may call at the chapel up to the time of the funeral.
