Isaac Newhouse Jr was the son of Isaac Newhouse Sr and Catherine VanPelt, born circa 1776 near New Britain, PA.

Isaac married Martha McCulloch on 21 Jun 1798 in Washington County, Virginia; married by Rev Charles Cummings, Presbyterian Minister.

Isaac and Martha moved to Sullivan Co, TN in Nov-Dec 1810 based on land sale records. In April 1811, Isaac was commissioned as Ensign in the 2nd Regiment of the Tennessee Militia.

By June 1819, Isaac sold his land in TN, and moved back to Washington Co, VA by 1822 when he was listed on tax lists. Isaac died circa 1829 in Washington Co, VA, having been listed on tax records in 1828 along with sons Isaac III and John.

While no burial record has been found, Isaac's granddaughter was buried at this same cemetery, and presumed family buried together. Alternatively, could have been buried at the Thomas McCullough Cemetery, or another cemetery in Washington Co, VA. After Isaac's death, his wife Martha moved to Clinton Co, Indiana where she died in 1852.
