Orvis D. Bingaman 86 of New Columbia Rd., New Columbia passed away on April 8, 2021 at his home. Born in Millmont on August 26, 1934 he was the son of the late Belle (Lilly) Miller and William Bingaman. He was married on April 26, 1978 to the former Stella J. Reichard who survives.

Orvis attended Lewisburg Schools and he worked at the Milton Shoe Factory for 40 years. He was the former owner of Hoffman's Riverside Campground in Millmont. He was a member of the Sound of the Gospel in Winfield. Orvis enjoyed music and he played many instruments including the bass guitar, which he played at his church. He liked riding on motorcycles and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Stella; a daughter, Sandra L. Hulsizer; four sons, Gary Hinkle, Jeffrey Strahan, Larry Strahan, and Robert Strahan; two brothers, Clarence Bingaman and George Bingaman; a sister, Laura Bell; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Orvis was preceded in death by a brother, Lamar Bingaman; and a sister, Shirley Hall.

Friends and relatives will be received from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14 at the Sound of the Gospel, 50 Gospel Way, Selinsgrove where funeral services will be held at Noon with Pastor Kenny Cousar officiating. Burial will be in Church Hill Cemetery in West Milton.
