OBITUARY
James M. Wineingar, son of James and Pemilda Winelngar, was born in Jackson County, March 7, 1850; departed this life March 3, 1929; aged 78 years, 11 months and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Nancy A. Hubbard, February 2, 1870, and to this union were born ten children, six sons and four daughters, one daughter, Hettie, having preceded him in death six years ago.
Those surviving are: Mrs. Nettie Callahan, of Bedford, Morton of near Ratcliff Grove, Mrs. Cora Ferguson and Cleveland of Seymour, Mrs. Sophia Newkirk, of Indianapolis, Melvin of Surprise, Arvey and Sam, who were in Chicago, and George of Kurtz, with whom he had been living for almost two years.
Day after day during his illness, he said he was putting his trust in the Savior and was willing and ready to go. He united with the Baptist church at Mt. Zion about twenty-five years ago.
Besides the wife and children, he leaves twenty-two grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was a kind and loving father and companion.
Funeral services were held at Kurtz Monday, Rev. S. B. Walls, of Bedford officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Bowers cemetery.
