With a heavy heart we announce that K-9 DIESEL (Active) succumbed to a fast growing lymphoma earlier this evening. Diesel was purchased by the Canton Police Department in 2015 at just 11 months old on behalf of Tri-State Canine Services- TSK9 and certified with his partner and best friend, Ofc. Schilling, shortly after. From that time, K-9 Diesel was the epitome of a working K-9. He made a considerable impact while on Patrol, as a dual purpose K-9 Officer, as well as an integral member of the Canton Police SWAT Team.
Diesel signed-on for duty up until his immediate diagnosis. A true Warrior. A true Hero.
Diesel, we thank you for your dedication to your family, to your community, and to the PK9A. We will remember you fondly, and for the rest of our days.
