Marthella Gordon Hagan, age 69, of Commerce, passed away Thursday, October 22, 1998. Mrs. Hagan was born June 10, 1929 in Clarke County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Commerce, Cherry Street Circle 2 First United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Four Season Garden Club, J.E.B. Stuart Chapter U.D.C., Red Cross Volunteer, Honorary Pilot Club member, Meals on Wheels, and Embroider & rsquos Guild Club of Ga. She graduated from Commerce High School, Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mose Gordon and Katherine Bradford Gordon. Survivors include her husband, Forrest Hagan of Commerce, formerly of Cedartown; a son, Lee Hagan of Maysville; a daughter, K. Ellen Hagan of Commerce; and a brother, Bill Gordon of Athens. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 25, at First United Methodist Church of Commerce with the Rev. Hoyt Allen and the Rev. Scott Hearn. Interment followed in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
