Olga married David Abeyta October 1975 in Littlefield. She was a CNA and worked many years as the activity director at a nursing home. She was a caring and giving person who loved tending to her residents and her family. She enjoyed playing games on her phone like Candy Crush and liked playing Spanish Bingo. Olga liked crafting, was a great cook, and most of all loved being with her grandchildren. She was a Catholic.
Olga is survived by her husband, David Abeyta of Littlefield; a daughter, LaToya Abeyta of Littlefield; three sons, Bruce Abeyta of Littlefield, David Abeyta Jr. and wife Monica of Tulia, and Matthew Abeyta of Amarillo; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Geneveva Salinas and Visenta Martinez both of Littlefield; four brothers, Joe Martinez of Littlefield, Fernando Martinez of Ft. Worth, Pablo Martinez Jr. of San Angelo, and Oscar Martinez of Littlefield; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Abeyta, a brother, and her parents.
Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Brian Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Marcos Martinez, Timothy Perez, Brandon Abeyta, and Dennis Abeyta Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Carson Abeyta, David Abeyta III and Matthew Abeyta Jr. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
