On the 1880 Census Agnes was 14 and her siblings included: Alfred Carter - 25, William Carter - 22, Fannie Carter - 20, Lee Carter - 16, Minnie Carter - 13, John Carter - 12, Fill. Carter - 11, Isaac Carter - 9, James Carter - 8, Birther Carter - 6, Laura Carter - 4, Henry Carter - 1.
On the 1910 census Agnes was married to Preston and living in Charlottesville in the Gospel Hill area. They had been married 10 years at that point.
Agnes' death certificate says she was to be buried at "Church Cemetery" - it makes sense that she was buried at Hickory Hill Cemetery with her husband and siblings. Her address was listed as 205 S.W. 12th Street (Gospel Hill) on the land where The University of Virginia Hospital now stands. A headstone, however, was not found at the cemetery.
