TEXAS CITY — Mr. Douglas Cooper Sr., 75, of Texas City died Sunday morning December 20, 1992 at his residence in Texas City.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Mainland Funeral Home Chapel of La Marque, Tx. with Superintendent Osha Randle, Sr. officiating.
Burial will be Saturday in Crockett, Texas at 2:00 p.m. at Union Prairie in Crockett, Texas.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mainland Chapel-La Marque.
Born August 10,1917 in Crockett, Texas.
Mr. Cooper was retired from Union Carbide. Hs was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Cooper of Texas City; three daughters, Mary Ann Frank, Bobbie Allen and Linda Venzant all of Texas City; one son, Douglas Cooper, Jr. of Texas City; devoted daughter-in-law, Vera Cooper of Texas City; sons-in-law and friends, A.C. Allen, Marvin Colbert, Floyd Williams and Larry Venzant all of Texas City; one Brother, Rev. N.L. Cooper of Crockett, Texas and a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Figaro.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
