Place of residence: Groton, Middlesex, MA
Served in the French/Indian War in Capt Thomas Lawrence's company, Col Nichol's regiment. While on the way to Ft Ticonderoga the men of Capt Lawrence's company, sheltered at Halfway Brook Blockhouse. Capt Lawrence and his company were connected with the expedition of General Amherst against Crown Point. While scouting outside they were attacked and killed by Indians many scalped.
