Deceased: HAZEL BROWN; Date: September 21, 1996
Hazel Brown, of the 2800 block of Seaboard Road, died Sept. 18, 1996.
Born in Princess Anne County, she was the widow of Johnnie A. Brown. Also she was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, where she served in the senior choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Roberta Rhodes of New York; a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Ray Lawrence of Virginia Beach and Robert Young of Norfolk; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Garland Lamb of New York; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Asbury United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. John Haynes. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is handling arrangements. "
