Martha Jean Sponer Fougerousse, age 85, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was born September 7, 1935 in St. Vincent, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Alfred Sponer and Theresia Pfeifer Sponer. She was the widow of Norbert Joseph Fougerousse and a homemaker. Martha was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Kay) Fougerousse of Morrilton, Paul (Jo Ann) Fougerousse of Morrilton, Rick (Janie) Fougerousse of Russellville, Mark (Cindi) Fougerousse of Vilonia, Diana (Dan) Beck of St. Vincent, Angie (Chris) Hartman of Morrilton, and Jill (Jimmy) Rogers of Conway; sisters, Em Sponer, Annie Andrews, Mary (Ken) Taylor and Chris Rhea; twenty-two grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph (Sonny) Sponer.
A private rosary and funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021. A public graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Sacred Heart Cemetery. All church COVID guidelines will apply.
