Sylvester Ogg, died this morning at 3 o’clock, at his home on West Dry street, of neuralgia of the heart. He was born in Westminster, Md., Aug. 31, 1830 and married to Elizabeth A. Alberts in 1869. He and his wife moved to Urbana in February 1873, and have since that time lived here. Mr. Ogg was a hard working man and respected by all who knew him. He had been troubled with his heart for some time, but was only confined to his bed a few days.

In the 1900 U. S. census, 68 yr. old widow, Elizabeth A Ogg, b. Mar. 1832 in MD., was living in a home she owned free and clear at 706 Illinois St. in Urbana Ward 3, Champaign, IL.
Elizabeth's parents were both b. in MD. M
Elizabeth had never had any children.

In the 1910 U. S. census, 78 yr. old widow (and head of household) Elizabeth A Ogg, no occupation, b. in MD., was living in a home she owned free and clear at 706 W. Illinois St. in Urbana Ward 4, Champaign, IL. with her
74 yr. old widowed sister, Frances Albert, no occupation, b. in MD.
Elizabeth & Frances' parents were b. in MD.
Elizabeth had never had any children.
Frances was the mother of two children, both still alive by this census.

Aged Woman Passes Away at White Heath - Burial at Mt. Hope.
Mrs. Elizabeth Ogg of 706 West Illinois street, Urbana, passed away this afternoon at 1:30 at the home of her niece, Mrs. Sanford T. Cary, with whom she was spending the winter. Mrs. Ogg had been ill for a week with pneumonia.
The deceased woman was born March 18, eighty-three years ago in Warfield(sburg), Carroll County, Maryland. She and her husband moved from Baltimore to Urbana about thirty-five years ago. The death of Mr. Ogg occurred twenty-two years ago. There were no children.
Mrs. Ogg was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George Franklin residing on South Market street, Urbana, and Mrs. Fannie Blakeley, residing in the northwest part of Champaign. Mrs. Emma Albert of Urbana is a sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the chapel at Mt. Hope cemetery, where interment will take place.
