Adelaide Burry, 89, of North Sewickley Township passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021, surrounded by her family. Adelaide was born on March 5, 1931, in Beaver Falls to the late Gust and Cecil Alvena (Boyle) Sternquist. She was a member of the former College Hill United Methodist Church since the age of 4. She graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1948. Adelaide received her teaching degree from Geneva College and taught in the Beaver, Freedom and Rochester School Districts until her retirement. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, Beaver County Chapter, was involved with the Beaver County Office of Aging, every church volunteer event and volunteered for a multitude of other organizations. Adelaide enjoyed traveling when she retired and visited multiple countries and states with her friends and family. She always enjoyed a good play, Musical or a concert in the park. Her best time spent was playing in various card clubs with her good friends or eating ice cream while she read the paper in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband William C. E. "Cy" Burry, 1988 and a sister, Dorothy Glass. Friends will be received Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls. Private interment will be in Grandview Cemetery
