Cemetery record. Daniel A. Lewis Daniel A. Lewis, 90, died June 21, 2000. An area resident all his life, he retired in 1973 as Superintendent of Highway Maintenance for the City of Akron after 38 years service. He also retired in 1986 from H.C Nutting Co. after 14 years service. Daniel was a member of Kenmore Church of Christ, Old Portage Lodge 718 F&AM, AASR Valley of Canton and Tadmor Shrine. He was a 60 year I member of I Warren Eagles 311, a Past Governor of Barberton Moose 759, Past President of East Akron Board of Trade and was a Past President and life member of the Street Maintenance and Sanitation Officials of Ohio. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1999, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, James and Janet, and daughter, Roberta Meeker, all of Akron; grandchildren, Mary Kay Meeker, Shawn (Chad) Crawford, Todd (Wendi) Lewis, Erik (Sheri) Lewis; four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, Kenmore Boulevard at Eighth St., where the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
