Carol Jensen Mellor, 83, of Fayette, Utah, passed away September 23, 2007, at the Gunnison Valley Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Carol was born January 16, 1924, in Clarion, Utah, to Joseph L. and Lavina Frandsen Jensen. She married Robert Keith Mellor, January 4, 1944, in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death, January 6, 1996.
Carol's younger years were spent in Clarion on the family farm. She loved horses and spent many hours riding around the west side of Gunnison Valley. After Carol and Keith were married they lived in Fayette with Keith's parents until they were able to build their own home also in Fayette.
She is survived by her children, Arleen (Steven) Higgins, Gunnison; Garth
(Karen) Mellor, Murray; three grandchildren: Shawn (Natalie) Higgins, Robby Mellor and Collin Mellor; four great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith; brothers, Bert Jensen and John Lamar Jensen; sisters, Josie Hendrickson and Clara Peterson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007, in the Fayette LDS Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Gunnison Cemetery
