James "Jim" Robert Kyle, Sr was born on 04 Jan 1883. James was the 4th known child born to James Stanhope Kyle & 2nd wife, Sophronia Miller. He married Annie D Keeling with whom he had 7 known children. He died on 21 Nov 1945, after a short illness. Mr. Kyle is survived by his spouse, Annie D Keeling Kyle of Dodson, sons, J.R., Jr, Robert Lewis & Carrol Kyle - daus, Mrs. Wm (Maurine) Hendrix, Mrs. Maurice (Helen Claire) Goolsby, Mrs Byron (Anna Fern) Womack & Hazel Jean Kyle. He grew up in the Old Center Community and moved to Carthage as a young man. He was a well known farmer, stockman & county commissioner at the time of his death.
