SHREVEPORT, LA - Services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Shreveport, LA for Robert L. Kyle age 90, on Friday April 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Dr. Greg Hunt and Rev. Ray Boswell of First Baptist Church of Shreveport where Mr. Kyle was a member. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kyle went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 after a brief illness. He was born in Carthage, TX and lived in Shreveport, LA for most of his adult life.
He served his country during W.W.II as a member of the U.S. Army in North Africa. He was retired from United Gas Pipeline with 40 years of service. He was a very devoted and loving husband, and a member and active deacon at Highland Baptist Church for many years.
Mr. Kyle was preceded in death by four siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Nell Kyle; three children; David Kyle and wife Patti of Houston, TX, Donna Kyle Speights and husband Robert Keith of Carthage, TX, and Robert L. Kyle, Jr. and wife Sheri of Shreveport, LA, two sisters; Maurine Kyle Hendrix of Houston, TX, and Jean Kyle SoRelle of Greeley, CO, and four grandchildren; Parrish Kyle, Kristen Speights, Lynzie Kyle, and Colton Kyle.
