She moved to Mississauga, Canada in 1974 and then to the United States in 1978. During her years in the United States, she lived in the Cleveland, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois areas. She spent the past twenty-three years in Palmetto, Florida where she made many friends. Janet is predeceased by her parents, George and May Lawrence. Janet is survived by her husband, Edwin; son, Richard; daughter, Karen B. Lanese (Rick) and grandchildren; Amanda, Nicoletta, Nicholas, and Zachary. Janet had many hobbies and was a prolific watercolor artist. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her. She had a kind word, a good listening ear and found something good in all whom she met.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto, FL once Covid-19 concerns improve. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Janet's memory to ArtCenter Manatee where she took lessons and made many friends.
