Theodore E. “Ted” Durant, 70, of Navarre, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, with his wife and family at his side. Born in Coshocton, Ohio, March 27, 1950, to the late Eugene and Jean (Bookless) Durant, Ted graduated from Fairless High School with the Class of 1969, and retired from Wenger Excavating in 2016.

A devoted husband and a loving and supportive dad and grandpa, he enjoyed boating with his wife and family, hunting with his sons and grandkids and never missed a sporting event where the grandchildren were participating. One of his favorite hobbies was gun collecting. Ted would do anything for anyone. He loved helping people.

Predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Jim and Terry; Ted is survived by his wife, Sherri L. (Houvig) Durant – with whom he shared 49 years of marriage; their sons, Derek (Molly) and Josh Durant; and their four grandchildren, Morgen, Conner, Ellie and Colton. Also surviving are his sisters, Norma, Theresa and Iva, and brothers, Gary, Dale and Tim.

Honoring Ted’s wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be conducted at a later date.
