Deceased Name: Grant Henry Bartlett
Grant Henry Bartlett, a unique, vibrant, highly intelligent and fun loving individual full of warmth, humor, strength and integrity, passed to the next phase of his existence June 20, 1992, after a 10-month battle with cancer.
He accepted the challenge and fought valiantly, but this time the villain won.
He was born June 18, 1923 in Mendon, Utah to Henry Bartlett and Marvel Hancock Bartlett. Me married Nancy Lee Hillman August 20, 1954.
He was an elder in the LDS Church.
He served in the U.S. Armed Forces with the 179th Infantry Regiment during World War II in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater and during the Korean Conflict. His valor and courage were recognized with numerous decorations and citations.
He played trumpet and trombone with the Mendon Jazz Dance Band prior to and after his military service until moving to Salt Lake City where he became foreman at Noyce Transfer Company until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his wife; sister, Mrs. Frank
(Della) Hadley, Plain City, Utah; brother, Ross W. Bartlett, Mendon, Utah; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he cared for deeply and all of whom loved him dearly.
His quick wit and sage advice will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
Services will be Wednesday, June 24th, 12 Noon, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Mendon City Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #7 Honor guard.
