Lucile J. Aberanthy, age 88, of Americus, formerly of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, August 1, 1999. She was born Sept. 15, 1910 in Haralson County. Surviving are her husband George Abernathy of Americus; one son, Mike Abernathy of Tampa, Fla.; and one sister, Clevadell Spearman of Tallapoosa; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 4, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Long officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers included Mike Whitfield, Kenneth Spearman, Donald Spearman, Mark Addison and Jeff Addison. Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
